Webex Meetings Expanding With Apple TV 4K & Apple Watch Support

Earlier this year, more advanced multitasking capabilities were introduced within Webex for iPad, providing multiple windows as well as a stage manager for the users so that they can achieve their tasks more efficiently. Now, Cisco has announced its newest expansion, particularly for its video conferencing software. The Webex meetings are expanding with Apple TV 4K and Apple Watch.

As announced by Cisco in a blog post, the Webex by Cisco will be available soon on Apple TV 4K and Apple Watch, providing more power and ways to get the work done on the go. Meanwhile, Cisco always ensures to be at a step ahead of hybrid work innovations and provides an effortless collaboration for the users of Apple products.

Here’s more about the Apple TV 4K experience:

Apple tvOS 17’s new Continuity Camera capability will allow Webex users to connect their iPhone or iPad wirelessly to the second-gen Apple TV 4K and use the device’s camera and microphone to participate in the meetings. After installing the Webex application on Apple TV 4K, users need to scan a QR code on the Apple TV for a smooth login experience and seamlessly access their meetings.

Apple previously made an announcement that the video conferencing apps, including Webex as well as Zoom, might be launched on the Apple TV later this year. Cisco notes that the second and third-generation Apple TV 4K are the only compatible models.

Coming to other useful update of Webex meetings with Apple Watch:

Making hybrid work at its best means providing secure, flexible, and seamless communications across devices. The Webex application for Apple Watch is now available on the App Store, so you can start your day by viewing a list of upcoming meeting schedules and join them with a single touch in audio-only mode. Also, users can easily listen to and participate in a Webex meeting using only their Apple Watch and AirPods.
