iPhone 16 Rumored to Be Apple’s First AI Device

As of now, Apple has been reportedly planning to bring its own generative AI capabilities across its services. At the same time, other popular OEMs have already showcased their respective new AI technologies through ChatGPT-style models, the Cupertino giant is yet to announce something as such alongside Siri’s extensive commands.

As per rumours prevailing all around, Apple is planning to incorporate its first ever AI technologies within its forthcoming iPhone 16 lineup. It suggests that the company is using the Large Language Model or LLM’s deep learning algorithm in order to entirely redesign its virtual assistant Siri into an ultimate virtual assistant and is preparing to make it the most powerful as well as intuitive AI-based app.

Although, several reports on Twitter describe that Apple is currently busy with the integration procedure of Siri into an AI-powered virtual assistant and it’s highly expected that the company might unveil this latest capability at WWDC 2024 event. However, it’s worth noting that the new service might not be available for each Apple device. As it’s entirely based on the Neural Engine and most probably it’s going to have some severe privacy policies, allowing users to operate in only on-device instead of using it in the cloud. Furthermore, Apple’s AI capabilities will make its way to the users through the forthcoming iPhone 16 models.

Taking into consideration that Apple has used a two-chip policy for its current iPhone 15 models, it’s possible that the brand might use the A18 Bionic chip for the iPhone 16 models as well as the A18 Pro chip for iPhone 16 Pro models. As the forthcoming iPhone 16 models is going to use the next-gen chip with all the new AI features, which means that it can’t be used on older iPhone models.
