This first beta update also brings several upgrades to the Messages app. It allows the iMessage Contact Key Verification feature, providing an assurance to the users that they are messaging to the right recipient. On this update, users can finally collaborate on certain playlists with other subscribers on Apple Music. In addition, now there’s an automatically generated playlist especially for the songs that the users have favourited. 

Furthermore, on the iOS 17.2 beta 1, several other customization options have been added within the Action button, including users can set the button to start a translation session. This latest update also introduces new and interactive widgets for Weather as well as Clock apps.

How to Download and Install iOS 17.2 beta 1?

To Download the iOS 17.2 beta 1 update, you need to first enrol in the Apple Developer program. To do that, you need to follow the steps mentioned below:  

  • On your iPhone, download the Apple Developer app from the App Store, open the app and go to the Account section.
  • Now tap the Enroll Now option.
  • Sign in using your Apple ID, and enter your personal information when asked.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Finally, proceed to the payment section and make payment within the Apple Developer membership fee. 
  • Once done with the payment, you will then be successfully enrolled in the Apple Developer Program.

Once you are enrolled in Apple Developer Program, follow the below-mentioned steps to download and install iOS 17.2 beta 1:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  • Go to the General section.
  • Tap on the Software update option.
  • Once you see the latest update, tap the Download and Install button.
  • Agree all the terms of services when asked. 
  • Now the update will start downloading.
