Gurman: The New Apple M3 Macbook Air Is Expected To Be Launched Around March Next Year

The Apple is gearing up to upgrade its MacBook Air by the March 2024, whereas the brand new two variants MacBook Pro models are in development. 

The recent reports are indicating that Apple has plan to update the MacBook Air may be in the forthcoming year’s March. Apart from the upgradation, it is also come to known that the brand has started manufacturing process of the two brand new MacBook Pro models including 13 inch and 15 inch. 

The fact is the tech giants of the brand overhauled the design of the MacBook Air back in 2022 and then introduced a larger model in this year 2023, now again ther will be no design changes for the 2024 model. So it seems that the brand will focus on the new internal hardware, that includes the upgraded M3 chip

The brand has introduced in the first quarter of this year in newer MacBook Pro variants, the M3 chip is the very first chip to be manufactured on a 3nm process, introducing performance and efficiency gains.  The benchmarks for the M3 chip display thatits CPU is 21% faster as compared to the M2 ans the GPU is 15% faster. 

The reports are also saying that the Apple is working on macOS 14.3 and the new MacBook Air sametanously along with macOS 14.3 expected to be upgraded by the end of February, on the flip side the new MacBook Air could ship near by March. 

Also in the last quarter of this year, the Mac sales of Apple fell sharply. Mac revenue was marked $7.6 billion, down 34% from $11.5 billion in the fourth quarter of 2022. Now the brand is expecting Mac sales to rise after the lauch of MacBook Pro models in October, and the MacBook Air refresh in early 2024 will also help drive growth.
